Curriculum

Chom Dao Kindergarten is located in the Sukhumvit/ Bangna area. We strongly believe that a child’s development is the foundation to their future. Many factors indicate the importance to a child’s development such as play, learn, social interaction, environment and nutrition. The most important part of growing up is having fun and enjoy being a kid. Children learn better when they are taught in a comfortable and safe zone, therefore learning through play is important at Chom Dao Kindergarten. Play teaches children life skills and broaden their development and helps them to make sense of the world they are living in. We also understand that all parents want the best for their children and expect their child to learn as much as possible. All subjects are taught in Thai by experienced teachers, whilst English and Chinese are taught by native speaker every 2-3 times a week.

Activities

“Play”

Chom Dao Kindergarten believe that learning should be fun. We want our students to feel like they want to come to school every day. Coming to school for toddlers should be a positive experience. Children should not feel like they are forced to come to school to learn the old-fashioned way but rather they feel encourage to come and learn through fun activities. We believe in a balance of indoor and outdoor activities as well as a balance types of play. Our activities are set up to allow children to learn various topics through a balance of fine-motor play, gross-motor play, sensory play, small-world play and role play.

“Learn”

At Chom Dao Kindergarten, we help children discover learning as a way of life, rather than a process or task. We focus on a wide range of activities, each child benefits from individual learning as well as group learning experiences to enhance their interest and to encourage development at their own pace. Children learn to communicate which allows them to speak and listen in a range of situations. Various activities allow children to be active and interactive which allows them to develop their co-ordination, control and movement skills.

“As a responsible citizen”

In today’s world it is vital to teach children the importance of taking care of the planet that they live in. Our curriculum at Chom Dao Kindergarten helps children to empathize with important issues that are happening in our modern society today. Our goal is to work with the children on projects that instill in them to create a better world. Not only do children learn about pressing issues within various topics that may have impact on our society, they have the chance to express their ideas which will enhance their creativity and critical thinking skills that will allow them to explore many activities though some of these projects:

charity work
sustainable living projects
reducing plastic waste
reducing food waste
using locally sources suppliers
promoting the use of “bring your own bags” wherever you and your family shop

Because children today are our leaders for the future, which is it our duty as an educator to cultivate them to have a good conscience for themselves and to the public, as well to their environment they live in. Our experienced teachers are ready to train and encourage each child to have the skills of understanding the difference between themselves and others, kindness, generosity, and waiting are the basic skills of living together in a society in which children will experience throughout their daily life as well as their future.

In an era when the world has changed rapidly. We believe that future children need to be able to adapt to the environment and society around us happily, so we are focused on encouraging each child to have a creative initiative, courage to think about it. And at the same time, continue to cultivate moral ethics, good values.

We want the next generation to be better than the last. A quality learning environment should provide children safety and security but should also allow them to explore, discover and make their own mistakes and learning their own lessons. Our role is to make sure that they do this in a way that keeps them safe and supports their curiosity.

It is our job, not only as educators but as responsible adults to make sure children grow to an age where they are old enough, wise enough and informed enough to be able to make important lifestyle choices We look into the psychology of learning and don’t just ask children to question everything, but we take away the barriers that make children afraid to ask. We do not enforce time outs or punishments but rather reward good behavior and make children aware that being good leads to rewards.

At Chom Dao Kindergaten we try to locally sourced with an emphasis on being organic and free of additives and nasty pesticides. With poor nutrition plaguing today’s lifestyle we have made sure that our menu follows the best dietary advice to offer dishes that are not only nutritionally balanced but are also fun and engaging for children; with the goal of creating positive attitudes towards healthy eating. We believe that food is an important part of growth, and with healthy eat promotes good source of energy for children to fuel their brain in order to be prepare for learning new things each day.

โรงเรียนอนุบาลชมดาว เรามีผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านโภชนาการเพื่อวางแผนและจัดสรรเมนูอาหารสำหรับเด็กๆเพราะอาหารและโภชนาการที่ดีเป็นรากฐานที่สำคัญที่ช่วยเสริมสร้างพัฒนาการทางด้านสมองและร่างกาย รวมถึงช่วยเสริมภูมิต้านทานโรคให้กับเด็กๆได้ เราจึงมีมาตรฐานการจัดการด้านโภชนาการ เพื่อสุขอนามัยที่ดีของนักเรียน
